Lyla’s House: A Georgetown Staple

1–2 minutes

Located right in the heart of Georgetown’s historic main street, Lyla’s House is one of those places that feels straight out an upscale Toronto neighbourhood but with the familiarity of a small town fave.

The space leans into a modern, clean aesthetic while still feeling warm and inviting. It’s easy to see why it’s grown beyond its original location, now with additional spots in Toronto and Oakville—but this Georgetown café is where it all started.

The coffee is consistently good, and the selection of curated pantry items adds an extra layer to the experience.

There are plenty of cozy places to sit, whether you’re catching up with a friend or just taking a break. One standout is a tucked-away nook at the back with books all around that makes the space feel a little more unique.

They also offer cocktails on select evenings, which adds a different dimension to the café. While I haven’t tried them yet, it’s easy to assume the same level of care carries through from their daytime menu.

It’s a well-rounded spot—thoughtful, consistent, and easy to return to or stop in before heading off for a local hike like the Limehouse Trail.
